Looking for something a little different this holiday season? Look no further than Island ETC (East-End Theatre Company) at 2317 Mechanic in Galveston as they present Matthew Leavitt's raucous sex comedy, THE BOOMERANG EFFECT.

Director, Kim Mytelka, has assembled a cast full of tremendous talent to take your mind off of the traditional holiday cheer. THE BOOMERANG EFFECT is an episodic play charting the subtly interrelated lives of five separate couples in five separate bedrooms. The conflicts among the couple are varied and yet universal. Likeable but scarcely ambitious Paul (Justin Gonzalez) suffers from Peter Pan syndrome which frustrates his steady girlfriend Stephanie (Chaney Moore) as she tries to navigate her way into adulthood. The horny Andrew (Cameron Dunbar) is being driven nuts by his talkative lover Renee (Katherine Cunningham). David (Matt Poole) and Nick (Trevor Grace) find hilarity and social commentary in their relationship as lovers who differ on several issues. A smarmy business executive (Michael Wonio) has more than dictation on his mind when he calls his sexy underling Julie (Julie Fontenot) to a hotel room. And another would-be Lothario, Marcus (Frank Petronella) wakes up in the bedroom of coworker Janetta (Kimber Fountain) following a booze-soaked office party. As each couple wrestles with their individual predicaments, each couple unknowingly ends up exacerbating the tensions of the other relationships, until their seemingly innocuous interferences come back to smack them in the face. As one of the characters puts it, "Every decision we make becomes just another link in this endless chain of well-intentioned disasters we call life."

THE BOOMERANG EFFECT runs from November 20th through December 12th. Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm. There will be one Sunday matinee on November 22nd at 2:30pm. (*Please note - there will be no performance on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26th.) Tickets for this hysterical adults only show about relationships and sex are available at www.islandetc.org.
