ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW

WAILUKU, HI — Maui OnStage announces 2 days of auditions for The Rocky Horror Show on Fri, Aug 8th from 6-9pm and Sat, Aug 9th from 11am - 1pm at the Historic Iao Theater in Wailuku.

Please prepare one comedic monologue up to 90 seconds in length and up to 24 bars of an uptempo rock song. Please bring recorded accompaniment. A bluetooth speaker will be provided for the phone or device. (*NO accompanist will be provided.) Bring a picture and resume, if you have one. Plan on arriving 10 minutes early to check in.

VIDEO SUBMISSION: If you are not available to attend auditions in person, we will be accepting video auditions. Please submit 1 comedic monologue up to 90 seconds in length and up to 24 bars of an uptempo rock song to stagemanagermaui@gmail.com. Video submission deadline is Thurs, August 7th by 6pm (HST).

The role of Dr Frank ‘N’ Furter has been cast and will be played by award-winning musician and entertainer - Eric Gilliom. All other roles are open. Auditioners MUST be at least 18 yrs old. This is a non-paying, community theatre production open to performers of all experience levels and backgrounds.

The Rocky Horror Show is a high-energy rock ‘n’ roll tribute to sci-fi and B-horror movies, bursting with outrageous characters, cult-classic songs, and electrifying moments. Featuring hits like “Time Warp,” “Sweet Transvestite,” and “Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me,” The Rocky Horror Show is an interactive, boundary-pushing celebration of self-discovery, liberation, and unapologetic fun.

Show Days: Oct 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 31 and Nov 1, 2

Show Times: Fri and Sat at 7:30pm, Sun at 3:00pm

Tickets: $10 – $45

Show Length: Approx 90 mins + 15 min intermission

Adult Content/Language: The Rocky Horror Show contains strong adult themes, sexual content, language, costumes and theatrical mayhem. Recommended for age 16+. Parental discretion advised.
