Today is #GivingTuesday! Will you join us in making a donation today to bring the joy of theatre to young people in our community?
Last month, over 200 students from Marin and Sonoma Counties visited Marin Theatre for a Student Matinee performance of Sally & Tom and special post-show Q&A with the cast and director. Your support gives students insight into the imaginative and technical process of creating a play--and provides many students with their first live theatre experience.
Your gift will help bring theatre into the lives of thousands of people throughout the Bay Area this year through our Student Matinee Series, Teen Arts Council, In-School Residency Programs, Adult Workshops, and so much more.
Make your gift TODAY and join us in inspiring the next generation of theatregoers and theatre makers in the Bay Area.
Marin Theatre is a home for brave and thoughtfully curated professional theater, art and events in the Bay Area and a dynamic hub that creates unique artistic experiences to entertain and educate the people of Marin, the Bay Area, and beyond. Marin Theatre believes that theatre is a vital form for sharing diverse stories to create a more just and equitable world.
Founded in 1966 by 35 residents of Mill Valley, Marin Theatre began as the Mill Valley Center for the Performing Arts. By 1987, the center had become a professional theatre company and had joined with other local theaters to negotiate the first regional equity contract in the Bay Area. Since then, Marin Theatre founded a new play program to support emerging American playwrights, and joined the League of Resident Theatres and National New Play Network in 2008. Marin Theatre is now the leading professional theater in the North Bay Area and premier mid-sized theater in the Bay Area.
