Perfection is a world premiere directed by Anta Recke, based on the novel by Vincenzo Latronico, staged at the newly reopened Prater venue on Kastanienallee. Set amid Berlin's polling period in autumn, the production negotiates the city's future and opportunities for social and political participation. The Prater, with its history as a popular theatre and as the object of a fierce property dispute, serves as a meta-setting that creates its own references. Anta Recke came to prominence by recreating a Black copy of Josef Bierbichler's novel Mittelreich with an all-Black cast, and her work bridges essay writing, conceptual art, and stagecraft.
