Uschi Neuss Becomes Managing Director of Stage Entertainment Germany

By:

The Board of Directors of Stage Entertainment has informed today management and staff of Stage Entertainment Germany about the decision that Johannes Mock-O'Hara steps down as managing director of Stage Entertainment Germany with immediate effect, leaving the company per December 31, 2013. As of today Uschi Neuss, our present Director Theatre Operations, will assume the role of managing director.

Spring 2008, Johannes Mock-O'Hara left Merlin Entertainments Group to join Stage Entertainment and lead the German branch of Joop Van Den Ende's international live entertainment company Stage Entertainment. During this period successful musicals like Disney's Tarzan and Wicked were programmed while at the same time own musicals like Hinterm Horizont, Sister Act and Rocky were created.

Peter O'Keeffe, CEO of the Stage Entertainment Group: 'Johannes has taken care for a sustainable, profitable German company, against the background of difficult economic circumstances. With regards to the future of the company, the Board of Directors and Johannes Mock-O'Hara have fundamentally different views on strategy, necessary actions and timelines. In good harmony it was decided to part ways and invite Director Theatre Operations Uschi Neuss to take over leadership. We wish Johannes all the best for his future career. We know Uschi as a strong, professional colleague used to big responsibilities and managing different disciplines. This is a fantastic challenge for her.'

Uschi Neuss works for Stage Entertainment Germany since the start of the company in 2000. As Director Theatre Operations she has been responsible for the integral exploitation (both back stage and front of house), including all productions, in the eleven theatres of Stage Entertainment in Hamburg, Berlin, Stuttgart, Essen and Oberhausen. From day one, Uschi Neuss is member of the German management team. Her contacts in the international live entertainment business will benefit her in her new function. As managing director of Stage Entertainment Germany Uschi Neuss also joins the International Management comprising the Managing Directors of the eight 'Stage-countries' and Stage Entertainment Touring Productions. The appointment of Uschi Neuss marks Stage Entertainment's fourth female managing director amongst nine senior international managers.

The Board of Directors of Stage Entertainment consisting of Peter O'Keeffe (CEO) and Siebe van Elsloo (CFO) directly reports to the president of the Supervisory Board and owner Joop Van Den Ende. The Supervisory Board further consists of Ewald Kist, Aat Schouwenaar, Janine van den Ende and Joop Munsterman.
