TheatreZone Artistic Director Mark Danni today announced the 13-member cast of the Equity theatre group's March 2016 production of INTO THE WOODS at the G&L Theatre in Naples. The production performs March 3 until March 13 and includes TheatreZone fan favorite actors and several newcomers.

INTO THE WOODS is a Stephen Sondheim musical that blends the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them to explore the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. The musical is tied together by an original story involving a childless baker (Billy Sharpe) and his wife (Laura Needle) and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch (Megan Jimenez) who has placed a curse on them, and with other storybook characters along their journey.

Thrust into a world of magic and adventure, they find their story intertwined with a group of legendary characters including Cinderella (Kara Konken), Little Red Riding Hood (Jessica Daniels), Rapunzel (Lauren Davis) and a certain young man named Jack (Wesley Slade) who has some very magical beans.

The Narrator (Daniel Schwab), Jack's mother (Patti Gardner), Stepmother (Danae DeShazer), Cinderella's Prince/Wolf (Gerritt VanderMeer), Elliot Needle (The Boy) and Rapunzel's Prince (Steven Geyer) complete the cast.

Mark Danni directs this Broadway musical with choreography by Karen Molnar. Michael Horsley serves as music director.

TheatreZone Season 11 concludes with the tap dancing comedy Dames at Sea April 28 - May 8, 2016. Individual tickets cost $48 and $53 plus a $2 per ticket fee.
