Broward Center and Parker Playhouse Cancel Shows Through April 12

With the best interests of the South Florida community in mind, all public performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Parker Playhouse will be postponed or cancelled effective today through April 12, 2020. This decision was taken based on the recommendations of the Governor of Florida, guidance from public health officials and anticipated action by Mayor Trantalis at the City of Fort Lauderdale to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"The well being of our guests, artists, staff and volunteers is of paramount importance," said Kelley Shanley, Broward Center president & CEO. "Our mission is to serve the community through engagement in the arts, and in these challenging times, our community will be best served by postponing our performances. We appreciate the continued leadership of our public officials and we remain prepared to respond to evolving circumstances."

Broward Center is working diligently with presenting partners and artist management to reschedule performances that were originally set to take place at the Broward Center and Parker Playhouse through April 12. Ticket holders are encouraged to keep their tickets as the Broward Center works to reschedule as many performances as possible for a later date.

For this weekend's performances at Broward Center and Parker Playhouse (March 13-15), please note the following:

  • Performances of Mean Girls, Thou Art Woman, and Spring Spectacular 2020 are cancelled; ticket holders will receive an automatic refund to the credit card used for purchase.

  • Performances of Brian Regan, Eric Johnson and The Manhattan Transfer are postponed; ticket holders should keep their tickets as they will receive updated information on the new performance dates as soon as it is available.

  • Broward Center's dining experiences are also closed; ticket holders for these experiences will also receive an automatic refund to the credit card used for purchase.
