Overview
The DGF National Fellows Program is a free, virtual extension of the Dramatists Guild Foundation's long-running Fellows program, open to playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists based anywhere in the United States. Fellows take part in writing workshops and mentorship sessions led by program chairs (currently Bernardo Cubria for playwriting and Christine Toy Johnson for musical theater) over the course of a year. The 2026 class includes nine writers from cities including Cleveland, El Paso, Atlanta, Seattle, Miami and Los Angeles.
Eligibility
US-based playwrights and musical theatre writers, especially those outside New York; capped at 250 submissions.
