Overview
The DGF Fellows program is a free, year-long New York City intensive run by the Dramatists Guild Foundation for emerging playwrights and musical theatre writers (composers, lyricists and librettists, individually or as teams). Fellows receive one-on-one mentoring from established professionals to develop their process and revise existing work, meeting as a cohort under program chairs. DGF also runs a virtual National Fellows track for writers based across the United States; both playwriting and musical theatre applications are accepted.
Eligibility
Playwrights, composers, lyricists, librettists, bookwriters; must be able to attend NYC sessions; capped at 275 playwriting and 225 musical theatre applications.
Notes
Cohort works under program chairs with one-on-one mentoring; culminates in presentation. Serves both playwriting and musical theatre tracks.
