Fargo's Summer Arts Intensive's GREASE Begins Tonight
GREASE is the word for six performances scheduled July 27, 28, 29, 31 & August 1 at 7:30pm and July 30 at 2:30pm. This local production showcases a cast, crew, and orchestra of high school and college-aged artists capturing the look and sound of this beloved 1950s rock n' roll celebration of teen angst, fast cars, and first loves. After spending a hopelessly devoted summer with Sandy Dumbrowski, the new girl in town,
Danny Zuko's world is thrown upside down when Sandy appears at Rydell High on the first day of school. What follows is a 1950s rock n' roll celebration of growin' up, cruisin' with friends, and goin' steady. GREASE features the irresistible songs from the Tony Award nominated Broadway show and hit movie, including "You're The One That I Want," "Summer Nights," "Hopelessly Devoted To You," "Greased Lightnin'" and many more.
Led by local arts educators and professionals, SUMMER ARTS INTENSIVE's mission is to further develop the personal and artistic talents of emerging young artists as they gain a comprehensive understanding of theatre production and performance. GREASE features a cast, crew, and orchestra of 50+ artists from around the Fargo-Moorhead area and marks the seventh season of SUMMER ARTS INTENSIVE following previous productions of PIPPIN, A CHORUS LINE, CHICAGO, SPAMALOT, RENT, and last year's hit HAIR.
