FMCT Appoints Education Coordinator, Enrollment For Winter Education Courses Continues

Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT) has appointed Sarah Arnold as Education Coordinator for their winter/spring and summer class and production offerings. A Theatre Arts graduate of North Dakota State University, she is also slated to direct FMCT's Theatre for Young Audiences production of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs! in February and Xanadu Jr. in July. Most recently, Arnold has been working in the Twin Cities with various youth theater companies including Children's Theater Company in Minneapolis and SteppingStone Theatre in St. Paul. Commenting on her return to the area and her new position she states, "I'm excited to return and help build opportunities for youth within the Fargo-Moorhead community."

The hiring of Sarah Arnold aligns with the official opening of summer programming registration on January 15 and the continued enrollment period for winter education classes which begin a six-week term on Saturday, February 3. Winter theatre education classes will run through March 10 and culminate with a sharing open house on Sunday, March 11.

This winter, FMCT offers seven classes targeted for all skill levels of elementary, middle school, and high school students. Themed storytelling classes featuring curriculum based on popular children's and young adult literature, a "Songs from Moana" musical theatre class, improvisation and sketch comedy courses, and scene studies are among the educational offerings this term. Registration is open now, and classes are filling quickly.
