Equity actors for roles in the plays in Ten Thousand Things' 2026-27 season (see breakdown). The audition for the Musical will be held at a later date.

We would be delighted for actors of all abilities, disabilities, ethnicities, cultures, and gender identities to audition, with encouragement to global majority and gender-expansive artists. TTT employs diverse, inclusive, and gender-imaginative casting for all roles as culturally appropriate to the telling of the story. The genders of the characters and the genders of the artist do not need to match, though for story-telling the gender of the characters may need to be explicitly legible to the audience.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a verse monologue, maximum 2 minutes. Prepare your piece with direct address to the audience in the audition room. Additional, if desired: a contemporary prose monologue.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

• Sàngó (M, any age) — orisha of thunder, lightning, fire, and justice.
• Elégba / Òrúnmilà (any gender, any age) — the divine messenger, trickster god of chance, gatekeeper of the crossroads, and orisha of wisdom, knowledge, divination, and destiny.
• Hera (F, 30s–50s, race open) — jealous and proud wife of Zeus and queen of the Greek gods.
• Zeus (M, 30s–60s, White) — lusty, violent, and willful king of the Greek gods.
