Prepare short song in style of show. Bring sheet music in the correct key, an accompanist will be provided but will not transpose. Bring your headshot and resume stapled back-to-back. Callbacks, if warranted, will be on the same day and may include cold readings and movement.

Please include your Dance reel (YouTube link) and 16-32 bar vocal selection in the style of the show (YouTube link).
Please include a slate at the beginning of your video and indicate whether or not you have local housing in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Video Submission Deadline: Saturday, August 1st, 2026, at 5pm CT.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Rapunzel
A princess with extremely long hair who is trapped in a tower. She loves to sing and longs to be free. Gender: Female. Vocal range top: D4, Vocal range bottom: E3
Socrates
An enchanted dragon—older, bespectacled, and worse for wear—with an English accent. He has been enchanted so he cannot fly or breathe fire and must remain near Rapunzel's tower because of a spell cast by Za Za. Gender: Male. Vocal range top: B5, Vocal range bottom: B3
Lady Za Za (Aka Lady Zazalinsky)
Rapunzel's aunt and, secretly, the Wicked Enchantress. She is outrageously dressed with over-the-top hair and makeup and always wears a large, bright purple jewel on a necklace around her neck. She has been running the kingdom as the Duchess but is obsessed with becoming Queen. Note: May change her hair or wigs at various points during the show. Gender: Female. Sir Roderick
A handsome young man

Gypsy Woman
A mysterious woman living in the forest—a cross between an older Fran Drescher and a hypochondriac Jersey housewife. Also doubles in additional ensemble roles. Gender: Female. Vocal range top: D5, Vocal range bottom: C4
