Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Actors' Equity Audition Center

9:30 AM — 5:30 PM 165 West 46th Street, 2nd Floor

Lunch from 1 - 2. New York, NY

Prepare a contemporary monologue no longer than 2 (two) minutes.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking:

Gino:

A man in his mid 30s/mid 40s. An engineer. Second generation Italian-American from New York City. Smart and charismatic, he is spearheading/overseeing the World Trade Center Towers project for the Port Authority.

Yama:

A man in his 40s/50s. An architect. Second generation Japanese-American from the Pacific Northwest. Eccentric and sometimes combative, he is designing the World Trade Center Towers.

Lee:

A man in his 20s/30s. A structural engineer/research physicist from Chicago. Socially inept and brilliant, he is the principal structural engineer for the World Trade Center Towers.

Woman 1:

30s-40s. Plays the following roles:

  • The Chrysler Building: the Tallest Building in the World for one year in 1930.
  • Joy: Yama’s secretary and an aspiring actress from Detroit. A young woman of the early 1960s
  • Mrs. Safran: Head of Public Relations for the Port Authority from New York City. A middle-aged woman of the mid-1960s.

Man 1:

50s-60s. Plays the following roles:

  • The Manhattan Company Building: the Tallest Building in the World for one month in 1930.
  • Kravitz: A Jewish-American owner of an electronics store in New York City. He protests the World Trade Center project because threatens his business.
  • Weiss: The owner of the Empire State Building, who is vocal in speaking out against the building of the World Trade Center.
