Please prepare a brief musical theatre singing selection in the style of one of the shows. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your headshot and resume.

[CLAUDE] male, 40s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland. Claude loves his work, the townspeople, and his daily traditions, but has never faced a crisis of this magnitude before. Doubles as [DERM], [BRENDA'S BROTHER], and [EDDIE]. Vocal range top: G4.

[BONNIE] female, 30s – 40s, any race/ethnicity. A no-nonsense mother of three and head of the Gander-area SPCA. Determined to protect the animals stranded aboard the grounded planes, though her frustration can spill over onto those around her. Doubles as [MARTHA]. Vocal range top: B4.

[BEULAH] female, 40s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. The head of the Gander Legion. With a firefighter son of her own, she offers compassion and support, including accompanying Hannah to church and praying with her. Doubles as [DELORES].

[OZ] male, 30s – 50s, any race/ethnicity. The quirky constable in Gander's two-person police force. As the town's population suddenly doubles, Oz finds creative and unexpected ways to help. Doubles as [JOEY], [CUSTOMS OFFICER], [MR. MICHAELS], [TERRY], [MATTY], [RABBI], and [HEAD CARDIOLOGIST]. Vocal range top: G4.

[JANICE] female, 20s – 30s, any race/ethnicity. An eager new local television reporter who is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naïve about the world, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her. Doubles as [BRITNEY] and [FLIGHT ATTENDANT]. Vocal range top: E5.

[BEVERLEY/ANNETTE] female, 50s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. BEVERLEY: The first female captain for American Airlines, Beverley Bass has always loved flying when her world suddenly changes. ANNETTE: A schoolteacher at Gander Academy with an active fantasy life. Doubles as [REPORTER]. Vocal range top: C#5.

[DIANE] female, 50s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. A traditional divorcee from Texas who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he's safe, she's given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder, more carefree side of herself. Doubles as [CRYSTAL] and [BRENDA]. Vocal range top: C#5. Vocal range bottom: A3.

[NICK/DOUG] male, 50s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. NICK: An English oil engineer who is focused on his work. Nick's life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. DOUG: An air traffic controller, married to Bonnie, who tries to help his wife and the animals. Doubles as [OFFICER STEPHENSON] and [MALE TOWNSPERSON]. Vocal range top: E4.

[KEVIN T/GARTH] male, 30s – 50s, any race/ethnicity. KEVIN T: The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles. Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin) when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town's generosity, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation. GARTH: The head of the local union representing the bus drivers. Doubles as [PRESIDENT BUSH]. Vocal range top: G4.

[KEVIN J/ALI] male, 30s – 50s, any race/ethnicity. KEVIN J: Kevin's boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave as soon as possible. ALI: A Middle Eastern man traveling to America who experiences isolation and Islamophobia but finds a connection to Beulah. Doubles as [DWIGHT].

[HANNAH] female, 40s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Doubles as [MARGIE] and [MICKEY]. Vocal range top: E5.

[BOB] male, 20s – 40s, any race/ethnicity. A hardened New Yorker who is suspicious of where he's landed, fearing that it's World War III and that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet. Instead, he ends up losing some of his New York jadedness. Doubles as [MUHUMUZA] and [CAPTAIN BRISTOL].

[DOROTHY GALE] female, teens – 20s, any race/ethnicity. A bright and imaginative farm girl from Kansas who dreams of a world beyond the horizon. Swept away to the magical Land of Oz, Dorothy embarks on a journey to find her way home, discovering courage, compassion, and the true meaning of family along the way.

[AUNT EM/GLINDA] female, 40s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. AUNT EM: Dorothy's practical and hardworking aunt. Though often preoccupied with the demands of farm life, she deeply loves and cares for Dorothy. GLINDA: The Good Witch of the North. Warm, wise, and reassuring, she guides Dorothy on her journey through Oz and helps her discover the power she possesses within herself. Vocal range: G3 – C5.

[UNCLE HENRY] male, 40s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. UNCLE HENRY: Dorothy's kind and dependable uncle, whose quiet strength anchors the Gale family. EMERALD CITY GUARD: The stern yet comedic gatekeeper of Emerald City who ultimately allows Dorothy and her companions to enter the Wizard's magnificent city. Vocal range: Bb2 – Eb4.

[COWARDLY LION] male, 20s – 40s, any race/ethnicity. COWARDLY LION: A blustering but lovable lion who longs to find courage. Though convinced he is a coward, he repeatedly demonstrates bravery when his friends need him most. Doubles as ZEKE: A friendly farmhand whose protective nature and good humor make him one of Dorothy's closest companions in Kansas.

[TINMAN] male, 20s – 40s, any race/ethnicity. TINMAN: Once a man of flesh and blood, the Tinman believes he lacks a heart. Tender, loyal, and deeply emotional, he joins Dorothy's quest in search of compassion and love. Doubles as HICKORY: A hardworking farmhand with a good heart and practical outlook.

[SCARECROW] male, 20s – 40s, any race/ethnicity. SCARECROW: A cheerful and inventive traveler who believes he lacks a brain. Despite his self-doubt, he consistently proves himself to be resourceful, intelligent, and loyal. Doubles as HUNK: A good-natured farmhand whose warmth and humor help comfort Dorothy in Kansas.

[THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST] female, 30s-40s, any race/ethnicity. THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST: The primary antagonist of Oz. Determined to avenge her sister and reclaim the Ruby Slippers, she uses fear, intimidation, and dark magic in her relentless pursuit of Dorothy. Doubles as MISS ALMIRA GULCH: The wealthy and bitter local busybody who threatens Dorothy's beloved dog, Toto.

[THE WIZARD OF OZ] male, 40s – 60s, any race/ethnicity. THE WIZARD OF OZ: The mysterious and seemingly all-powerful ruler of Emerald City. Beneath the spectacle and illusion is an ordinary man who ultimately helps Dorothy and her friends discover what they have possessed all along. Doubles as PROFESSOR MARVEL: A traveling fortune teller and showman whose encounter with Dorothy helps set her on the path home.
