SEEKING:
- LITTLE GIRL/FUTURE DAUGHTER: Black. Between 8 and 11 years old. Strong singer and dancer. She is herself. Musical. Experience with brass would be ideal (not saxophone). She is all possibilities. COULD BE PLAYED BY AN ADULT OR A YOUTH PERFORMER.
THE FOLLOWING ROLES ARE CAST:
- THE GROWN WOMAN/THE RAFFIA: Black, Female, Late 30s-Early 40s. At first glance, incredibly put together. A perfectionist, who’s struggling to get in touch with her inner child.
- ALEXA/MR CORNELL: Black, Female or Non-Binary, 40s. Alexa: A very lonely robot companion. MR. CORNELL: Why a horse ... of course. Muscularity. Has to rap. Has a relationship with hip-hop.
PREPARATION
Please prepare the Sides for the role of your choice. A link to the Sides will be added to this notice by July 2nd. Hardcopies of the Sides will be available through the Equity monitor beginning on the morning of the audition. A reader will be provided.
