BREAKDOWN
Artful Dodger- Fagin's favorite, he is a skilled pickpocket and befriends Oliver. Charming and energetic. Must
be a good actor,singer, and mover. Age, must look teenaged but be over 18. Vocal range A3-F5
Fagin- Miserly leader of the pickpocket gang. A thief and fence, his charm masks a paranoid and selfish soul.
Strong character actor and singer. Age range 45-65. Vocal Range Bari-tenor A2-F4
Nancy - a prostitute and former pickpocket, she is in love with the abusive Bill Sykes and has a heart of gold.
Strong actress and singer, vocal range mezzo F3-D5. Age range - 30-40
Bill Sykes- A thief, he is mean and heartless. Strikes fear in anyone he meets. Very strong actor and singer.
Age range 35-50. Vocal range baritone G2-D4
Mr. Bumble- The overseer of the workhouse. Pompous and self righteous. A big man, in girth and ego. Strong
singer, bari-tenor D3-A4, age range 40-60.
Mr. Sowerberry - a sour and unhappy undertaker. Will also be in the ensemble. Baritone C3-F4, age 40-60
Mrs. Sowerberry- sour and unhappy wife of the sour and unhappy undertaker. Will also be in the ensemble
Alto or soprano C4-F5, age range 35-55
