Seymour Krelborn: Male identified. Any ethnicity. To play age 25 to 35. Comic actor who sings well. Insecure, kind, and ultimately heroic, all grounded in honesty. Vocal range: A2 to G4

Audrey: Female identified. Any ethnicity. To play age 25 to 35. Comic actress with great voice. Poor self-worth with sweet and vulnerable demeanor. Not a victim. Played with honesty. Vocal range top: G#3 to D5

Mr. Mushnik: Male identified. Any ethnicity. To play age 55 to 65. Comic actor who sings. Profitdriven, greedy, and manipulative. Vocal range: G2 to F4

Orin Scrivello: Male identified. Any ethnicity. To play age 30 to 40. Comic actor who sings. Egotistical dentist with passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend. Actor also plays various comic cameos including: Customer, Radio Announcer, Mr. Bernstein, Mrs. Luce, Skip Snip, Patrick Martin. Vocal range top: G2 to G4

Voice Of The Plant: Any gender. Any ethnicity. To play age 25 to 50. An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best. Vocal range: G2 to G4

Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon: Female identified. African-American. Age: 20 to 35. Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon are African-American street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality. Prepare R&B, Pop, or Soul tune from the 1970s-1990s. No Musical Theatre music for these roles please!
