Seeking submissions from AEA members. AEA members must submit themselves directly in order to be considered via this posting (no agent or third-party submissions).

BREAKDOWN

Louise (Female, 20-30) Awkward as a child and always observant, hides her femininity under the guise of a tomboy. When she finally shines, her unabashedly extrovert self takes over. Mezzo soprano/belt.

Herbie (Male, 45-60) An agent for Rose’s children and a possible husband number 4, has a heart of gold but also has the power to defend the people he loves with strength? baritone, strong actor.

Dainty June (Female, 20-30) Baby June as a young teenager, the older she gets, the less she enjoys being treated like a child, must dance very well, tap, and be a strong performer with a strong belt, mezzo. Ability to do the splits and twirl a baton a big plus.

Tulsa (Male, 20-30) Boy-next-door type, charming, handsome and endearing, strives to break and be a star, strong vocals and dance, must tap? tenor.

Tessie Tura/Ms. Cratchitt (Female, 30-55) An experienced and wisened Burlesque performer. Specialty - Ballet stripper. Ballet skills optional. Mezzo. / The gate-keeper of the Grantziger’s Palace and a battle-axe, not unlike Rose.

Mazeppa (Female,30-55) An experienced and wisened Burlesque performer. Specialty - Trumpet stripper. Trumpet skills optional. Alto.

Electra (Female, 30-55) An experienced and wisened Burlesque performer. Specialty – Light-bulb stripper. Electrical experience not required.

Baby June (Female, 8-12) Rose’s daughter who is constantly being groomed to be the next Broadway star, cute, blonde, high energy performer with a fantastic belt, who dances well, has gymnastic skills? baton twirling a plus.

Baby Louise (Female, 9-13) An awkward, observant young girl, always playing second fiddle to her sister June? genuine, earnest, and charming
