Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, presents Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune by Terrence McNally. Performances begin tonight, March 20 and run through Saturday, April 19. Tickets for this witty love story about overcoming fear and taking a chance on love are now on sale.

Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune begins with five Preview performances starting Thursday, March 20 at 8PM. During the first four Previews audience members will have the opportunity to take part in the process of creating a show by participating in a talkback session with the director following each performance. The Official Opening Night is Friday, March 28 with the show scheduled to run through Saturday, April 19. Performances will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at eight o'clock and Sunday matinees at two o'clock with additional three o'clock matinees on Saturdays starting March 29.

Frankie is a waitress at a second rate restaurant who gives in to the temptation of a one-night stand with her co-worker Johnny after a few weeks of working together. But Johnny has other ideas. A compulsive talker, and hopeless romantic, Johnny begins the process of wooing Frankie, hoping that she will return his proclamations of love. World-weary and battle-worn, Frankie needs a lot of convincing that this won't be yet another disappointment in life. As their night together unfolds, they are surprised by the discoveries they make about each other, and themselves. Winner of the Dramatists Guild Hull Warriner Award, this bittersweet comedy combines poignancy and laughter as it traces the unlikely romance that begins to develop between two middle-aged "losers". Please be aware that this show contains mature content, language and brief nudity.

The cast of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune consists of John Lepard (10:53, This Wonderful Life) as Johnny and Suzi Regan (While We Were Bowling) as Frankie. The Director is John Manfredi.
