Vanessa Williams to Headline Goodwill's 'HARMONIES & HOPE' Concert in Detroit

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit welcomes critically acclaimed actress, singer, and dancer Vanessa Williams to MotorCity Casino Hotel's Sound Board on March 9, 2017 at 8 p.m. for its annual Harmonies & Hope concert. Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 29, 2016.

Now in its 5th year, this event brings together Detroit's community and beyond, for a night of good will and great music. Proceeds from the concert will help fund Goodwill Detroit's employment training, education, and career placement programs. For 95 years, Goodwill Industries has served Metro Detroit through programs like Flip the Script, Operation Good Jobs and A Place of Our Own Clubhouse.

Vanessa Williams has conquered the music charts, Broadway, music videos, television, and motion pictures. She has several hit albums including The Right Stuff, The Comfort Zone, and The Sweetest Days.

"Once again, we're excited to partner with MotorCity Casino Hotel for our annual Harmonies & Hope benefit concert," said Lorna Utley, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit.

"Last year's Boyz II Men performance was a great success; we're confident the momentum will continue with Vanessa Williams. We look forward to entertaining the audience while raising awareness and support for our mission," Utley added.
