Lynn Nottages masterpiece of blue collar America looks at the tensions of factory workers as they struggle with labor strife, racial tension, getting another gimlet and the boiling frustrations of trying to make a dollar out of fifty cents. Created by Nottage after more than two years spent in Reading, PA interviewing residents of the then poorest city in America, Sweat won the Pulitzer prize for the passion and humor of its vivid characters as they fight for their lives in a world that is changing around them faster than anyone can keep up.

LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT at Iowa Stage Theatre Company to Begin Performances March 25
January 26, 2022 Iowa Stage Theatre Company, central Iowa's home for award-winning theater that inspires, enlightens and entertains, is shifting its production of Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night from 11 February to 25 March, due to the COVID surge central Iowa is experiencing. Sweat, originally slated to open at that time, will be rescheduled later in 2022.
