Pleasantville High School's Drama Department will present their fall play "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" next week at the Pleasantville Event Center.

The play is a broadway musical which centers around a fictional spelling bee set in Putnam Valley Middle School where six adolescents compete in a spelling bee run by three quirky grown-ups.

Senior Chance Bender who plays William Barfée in the play tells KNIA/KRLS News "people who attend the play will leave with the message that it doesn't matter where you finish, it's about the journey and the people you meet along the way."

The first showing of the play will hit the stage on Friday 7 p.m.
