The Pumpkin Kid at Historic Elitch Theatre

The Pumpkin Kid is a toe-tapping family musical combining live theatre and music with an optional hands-on pumpkin carving experience. It follows an orphan who arrives in town with a wagon full of misshapen pumpkins and encounters three unhappy neighbors: a surly blacksmith, a disillusioned woodcarver, and an embittered tailor. Using discarded tools from each, he creates carvings that transform even the most cracked and ruined of hearts. The cast includes Jane Curry, Karey Montoya-James, Bryan Plummer, Rob Utesch, Stephen Bertles, David Hintz, and Annie Dwyer, directed by Jeff LaGreca with musical direction by Suzanne Slade and choreography by Nick Sugar.
