MacArthur fellow Matthew Aucoin's First Symphony receives its world premiere performance from the Aspen Festival Orchestra with three-time Grammy-winning mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato as soloist. The work is an AMFS co-commission and is conducted by AMFS alumnus Cristian Măcelaru, music director of the Orchestre National de France and the Cincinnati Symphony.
