Vintage Theatre and Rocky Mountain Deaf Theatre (RMDT) presents "Shirley Valentine" at 1468 Dayton St., Aurora 80010 for four performances only on Friday and Saturday, May 9 & 10 and May 16 & 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 at the door, dinner and show $25 and are available by calling 303-856-7830 or online at www.vintagetheatre.com.

Wondering what has happened to herself, now feeling stagnant and in a rut, Shirley Valentine finds herself regularly talking to the wall while preparing her husband's chips and egg. When her best friend wins a trip-for-two to Greece, she packs her bags, leaves a note on the Cupboard door in the kitchen, and heads for a fortnight of rest and relaxation. What she finds is romance and a new awareness of who she is and what her existence can be with just a little effort on her part.

RMDT Founder and Artist Director Nicki Runge is cast as Shirley Valentine.

Nicki Runge was amazed when she learned that there are over 16,000 Deaf people in the Denver area Front Range alone. The local Deaf community and their friends, family, and others have an interest or know American Sign Language - although it's not a requirement for attending Rocky Mountain Deaf Theatre.

Runge graduated from St. John's International School in Waterloo, Belgium. Nicki started her professional actingcareer at a young age and eventually transitioned into a director for theatre. She has appeared in numerous productions at UNC's (University of Northern Colorado) Theater Department. Her professional debut was Phamaly's 2011 production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." Runge has her degree in Theatre Arts and is a Drama and American Sign Language teacher for preschool through adult students. In October 2012 she introduced Rocky Mountain Deaf Theatre to the public with Neil LaBute's "Some Girls."

Vintage Theatre has partnered with Copacabana Grill Catering to create a menu especially for Vintage Theatre patrons who have a hankering to try some real Brazilian BBQ. A full meal, offered from 6 - 7 p.m., includes an appetizer or salad, the entrée and choice of dessert for $15. Appetizers such as Chicken Croquettes or Prosciutto with Melon and desserts like the traditional Brazilian Truffle confections or delectable cake by the slice, will be offered before and after the show with prices starting at $5. The full meal option is offered on the Vintage Theatre ticketing page. To view the full menu, go to http://copacabanagrillcatering.com/#/vintage-theatre-menu/.
