STEP ON ME: STACY & HER SCALE To Be Presented at Denver Fringe

Cypherbird Projects will present the world premiere of STEP ON ME: Stacy & Her Scale, A Cautionary Tale by Lisa Wagner Erickson, June 6 and 7 in the Denver Fringe Festival and on June 14 at Junkyard Social Club. Directed by Em Perez, the show will feature the talents of Veronica Straight-Lingo and John-Christian Maheu.
About the Show: Based on the short by Lisa Wagner Erickson—hailed by the Boston Globe as "a hilarious play that toys with one woman's obsession with her bathroom scale" — STEP ON ME follows aspiring influencer Stacy as she attempts to get the upper hand in a twisted, S&M-ish relationship with her bathroom scale. But Scale has other plans. Featuring original songs, absurd physical comedy, and an unhinged theatrical fever dream you won't soon forget, this cautionary tale asks: who's really in control?
Directed by Em Perez, actors Veronica Straight-Lingo and John-Christian Maheu brought the house down in an April performance of the short play at Meow Wolf, winning the Best Cast award in an evening produced by Jefferson Arca's Cheeky Monkey Productions. The duo will flex their comedic prowess in June for an unforgettable show in the Denver Fringe Festival and at Boulder's Junkyard Social Club.
