FOREVER PLAID Begins at BDT Stage Tomorrow

By:

Relive an era when doo-wop was king, big hairdos were in, cars had enormous fins, and the harmonizing bands of the 50s were all the rage. Forever Plaid, the hallmark jukebox musical comedy by Stuart Ross, centers on a quartet whose dream of recording an album ended in a bus collision while on their way to their biggest gig. Now they've been miraculously revived for the show that never was - right in the middle of Boulder! Forever Plaid plays BDT Stage March 6 - May 10, 2015.

You'll be humming along with the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950's and rollin' in the aisles from the delightful patter of the original clean-cut boy band - The Plaids. Featuring such hits as Sixteen Tons, Chain Gang, Three Coins in the Fountain, Perfidia, Cry, Catch a Falling Star, Day- O, Gotta Be This or That, Matilda, and Heart and Soul.

Playing the Plaids are BDT Stage favorites Scott Severtson as Frankie, Brian Jackson as Smudge, Brett Ambler as Sparky, and Brian Cronan as Jinx. Forever Plaid is directed by Brian Jackson, with music direction by Neal Dunfee.

"Screamingly funny! Entirely enchanting, utterly entertaining, awesome! ... will put a smile on your face, a hum in your throat and a tap to your feet." - New York Post

Tickets for Forever Plaid are on sale now. Prices start at just $37, and include both the performance and dinner served by the stars of the show. All tickets for opening weekend (March 6 - 8, 2015) are just $37. Group rate tickets and season subscriptions are available for all performances throughout the year. Call (303) 449-6000 or log on to www.bdtstage.com for reservations and/or additional details about the show.

BDT Stage is the new name for Boulder's Dinner Theatre. Only the name has changed - BDT Stage retains the same ownership, same quality productions and same great dining that audiences have enjoyed for years. BDT Stage presents four Broadway-quality musicals each season, and has been recognized locally and nationally for theatrical excellence. Boulder's Daily Camera praises BDT's "consistency in technical achievement, performance and overall production level as it sets a high standard for theatrical professionalism in the Boulder area." BDT Stage continues its 37th Season with Forever Plaid, opening March 6, 2015, and Mary Poppins, opening May 16, 2015. And don't forget BDT Stage's Cabaret Series - the amazing Glenn Miller Orchestra plays June 22- 23, 2015, and Branson on the Road returns by demand on August 11, 2015. Tickets to all performances are on sale now.
