Piffaro, The Renaissance Band concludes its season with an all-instrumental concert, celebrating the joyous arrival of spring through a diverse array of Renaissance music. The program features works from notable composers such as Orlando di Lassus, Claude de Sermisy, and Josquin de Prez, showcasing French chansons, German lieder, English songs, and Italian madrigals. Artistic director Priscilla Herreid emphasizes the themes of renewal and celebration in the music, which evokes the sounds of nature and life in May. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore an array of historically accurate instruments after the concert.
