THE CANINE STARS Will Perform At The Grand In Wilmington
Founded by Keri Caraher, the all-rescue cast performs dock diving, disc, and agility at Copeland Hall.
The Canine Stars will perform at The Grand Opera House Wilmington for a one-day engagement. The performance will take place on May 31, 2026 at 2 p.m. in Copeland Hall.
The production is an educational stunt dog show featuring rescued dogs performing a range of athletic disciplines. The performance includes dog dancing, freestyle disc, high jumping, dock diving, and agility racing, presented in a theatrical format designed for performing arts centers.
The show incorporates a custom Ball Pit Pool, allowing for dock diving stunts to be performed onstage without water. Unlike traditional dog acts that emphasize comedy, The Canine Stars focuses on athleticism and the bond between dogs and their handlers.
All dogs featured in the production have been adopted from shelters, humane societies, and rescue organizations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company’s mission is to promote adoption and demonstrate the potential of rescue dogs through performance.
Founded in 2012 by Keri Caraher, the company is led by Caraher and Vice President Ethan Wilhelm, who have performed and competed with dogs for more than 20 years. The show has appeared on programs including America’s Got Talent, Stupid Pet Tricks with Sarah Silverman, Nickelodeon Unleashed, and American Ninja Warrior.
Tickets are available at the venue’s website or by calling the box office.
