Possum Point Players present the comedy "FrUiTCaKeS" as their holiday gift to the community. Production dates are December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 at Possum Hall in Georgetown; Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees are at 2 PM. Tickets are $23 for adults and $22 for students and seniors. Tickets are now on sale online at www.possumpointplayers.org and also by phone at 302-856-4560.

While Halloween decorations were still on store shelves, director John Hulse of Rehoboth Beach assembled a cast of actors from more than a dozen southern Delaware communities. The chorus has been setting the season as they practice Christmas songs and many cast members are learning more than they ever expected to about the secrets of baking killer fruitcakes.

Appearing in "FrUiTCaKeS" are Georgetown residents Rhys Humphries, Olivia Farro, Braeden Swain, Landon Rockwell and Claudius Bowden; those from Seaford are GiannaVoges, Dillon Mangene and Mikayla Dayton; and Laurel residents are Chuck Rafferty, Maddie Naples and David Naples. Cast members from Lincoln are Ceci Rey, Ellianna Stoliker and Emmilea Stokiker; and those from Frankford are Finnley Sheridan and Marsha Shull.

Rosanne Pack and Karen Marshall are from Milford; Mike Mahaffie, Lewes, and Karen Fitzpatrick, Magnolia. Rounding out the cast are Ed Guinan, Dagsboro, Alexander Proceus, Millsboro, Hope Kline, Selbyville, Abby Pamplona, Delmar, and Lily Yenovkian, Rehoboth Beach.

Director Hulse reminds people that holiday shows sell out early and those who wait to purchase tickets may miss out on enjoying a heaping helping of "FrUiTCaKeS." The show is suitable for all audiences and the humor and the subtle lessons of acceptance and of letting go of past strife span all ages and beliefs.

'Fruitcakes' is presented through special arrangements with Dramatic Publishing.

Possum Point Players is supported, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
