During this uncertain time with the labor impasse in the National Football League, playwright Kash Goins and business partner JamaAl Jackson, of the Philadelphia Eagles have teamed up to form the entertainment company, GoKash Productions, LLC. This new collaboration's first production is a heartwarming and highly entertaining, neo soul music infused stage play titled "Single Black Female", which will debut Mother's Day weekend, on Saturday 5/7/11 at 3pm and 8pm at The DuPont Theatre in Wilmington, DE.

In the last year, there has been increased attention being offered on the relationship state of African American women in America. Literary works by StEve Harvey and Hill Harper have been accented by a series on CNN, moderated by Soledad O'Brien. While there are many theories and analyses offered on the subject, as the title suggests "Single Black Female" depicts the journey of one black female and her "jones for love". The play draws inspiration from a popular 90's film "Love Jones". Yet, as is customary in a Kash Goins piece, it is filled with colorful characters and a fair share of twists and turns to keep the audience thoroughly engaged and enlightened on the mindsets of some men and women as they pertain to the current African American dating scene.

With aspirations for a launch into the thrust of the national Urban Stage Play market, Goins and Jackson have assembled a cast rich in ability, professional credentials, and notoriety. Headlining is Ms. Kiki Shepard who has served for over fifteen years as the co-host of the very popular "Showtime at The Apollo". She is joined by Nashawn Kearse of "Desperate Housewives and Entourage", Cat Washington from Season Five of "The Bad Girls Club", and film veteran John Canada Terrell who is most well known for starring roles in Spike Lee's "She's Gotta Have It" and Robert Townsend's "The Five Heartbeats". Local stars include popular songstress Carol Riddick, Treena Ferebee, playwright / producer / actor Priest Tyaire, Neil Carr, Lauren Shaye, television personality Trippi Congo, Alisa Murray and Dinina Richardson.
