Bootless Artworks continues its 2011-2012 season with Sarah Ruhl's new oddball comedy, "Dead Man's Cell Phone" under the direction of Rosanne DellAversano.   "Dead Man's Cell Phone" is an adventure that explores the ways that technology can provide means for both connection and disconnect in the digital age.  The play opens innocently enough at a café on a rainy day where a man, Gordon (Randall McCann), suddenly and quietly dies- and no one seems to notice.  However, Jean (Lindsey Burkland), the woman at the next table, does seem to notice that Gordon's cell phone will not stop ringing and answers.  Jean ends up stuck in the middle of all the "troubles" Gordon endured through, going as far to meeting his widow Hermia (Jennifer Huth), his mother Mrs. Gottlieb (Ruth K. Brown), and his mistress (Lauren Ojeda).  She even ends up falling in love with the deceased's brother, Dwight (Bob DeMarco).  As the dead man himself, Gordon, is able to tell of his last moments on Earth, the audience is left wondering if he will get the last word.
