Victoria’s Spotlight Specials Online Auction Nets $29,000 for Charity

Victoria Theatre Association's Second Annual Victoria's Spotlight Specials Online Auction net $29,000, benefitting the Physician's for Kids Discovery Series.

"This year was full of some very spirited bidding," says Joan Jacobson, Advancement Director for Victoria Theatre Association. "It was pretty intense with the 'Wicked Overnight' package that included tickets to WICKED and overnight stay in the plush guest suite in Performance Place, the Interactive Cooking Classes at Dorothy Lane Market and especially the Firestone Golf Outing!"

Victoria's Spotlight Specials Online Auction ended on December 11, 2011. Winners were contacted and the Victoria Theatre Association Development Team has been working diligently to ensure delivery to the winning bidders before the Christmas holiday. Because of generous sponsorships, the $29,000 raised through the auction will be placed directly toward funding scholarships and program costs of the Physicians for Kids Discovery Series. Each year, the Physicians for Kids Discovery Series welcomes over 30,000 students from all over the Miami Valley to the Victoria Theatre for fun and educational live theatre programs, tailored to meet the Ohio Department of Education Academic and Benchmark Standards.
