The Zoot Theatre Company presents THE PEARL as a part of VTA's ImPACt program, April 12th and 13th at 8pm and April 14th at 2pm & 8pm, in the Mathile Theatre of the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, downtown Dayton. Tickets are on sale now at the Ticket Center Stage Box Office, via phone 888-228-3630 or 937-228-3630, and online at www.ticketcenterstage.com.

Based on the novel by author John Steinbeck, Zoot's take on The Pearl, directed by Sharon Leahy, tells the story of Kino, a poor pearl diver who gets his hands on the "pearl of the world" and through his journey, discovers the greed and evil that comes with such a prize. With music by Rick Good, Zoot's one-act production of The Pearl brings Kino's journey to life with an array of unique and intriguing characters and mask displays to captivate audience members of all ages.

Dayton's Zoot Theatre Company is the resident company of Victoria Theatre Association's ImPACt Program. With a mission to "stimulate the creative spirit through the collaboration of all forms of artistic expression," the Zoot Theatre Company utilizes intricately designed masks and puppets combined with professional actors to bring a different style of theatre to the Miami Valley. Recent collaborations include productions with the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and a presentation of The Wiz with Central State University and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.

Tickets for The Pearl are $18 for adults and $12 for children 12 & under are available at the Ticket Center Stage Box Office, located in the Wintergarden of the Schuster Center, via phone 888-228-3630 or 937-228-3630, and online at www.ticketcenterstage.com.

Victoria Theatre Association's ImPACt program provides a cooperative, economical, professional arts mentorship for up-and-coming local artists and arts organizations in a state-of-the-art performance venue while offering the community diverse programming.

The ImPACt program nurtures emerging Miami VAlley Theatre and performing arts companies and artists by renting them state-of-the-Art Theatre space at greatly reduced rates as well as providing them access to our professional technical and marketing staff. ImPACt is meant to educate and mentor smaller companies until they are established enough to "graduate" from the program. All ImPACt performances are held in the Mathile Theatre at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.
