The Dayton Theatre Guild Presents THE HALLELUJAH GUILD 11/27-12/13

The Dayton Theatre Guild presents a special holiday production of The Hallelujah Girls by Jesse Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Performances begin Friday, November 27 and run through Sunday, December 13, 2009. It is directed by Greg Smith. This production is being sponsored by the Vectren Foundation.

The Hallelujah Girls is a show filled with hilarity when the real housewives of Eden Falls, Georgia, decide to shake up their lives. This rollicking southern comedy takes place in SPA-DE-DAH!, the abandoned church-turned-day spa where Sugar Lee, Carlene, Nita, Crystal and Mavis gather every Friday afternoon. After the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious and if they are going to change their lives and achieve their dreams they have to get on it now!

Director Greg Smith is excited to be staging a third comedy by the authors of Dearly Beloved, The Dixie Swim Club and Christmas Belles.

The cast includes Katrina Kittle (Belles, Sordid Lives), Ellen Finch (Outward Bound, Fuddy Meers), Natasha Randall (The Cashier, director of The Beard of Avon) and Stefanie Pratt (The Dixie Swim Club at the Beavercreek Community Theatre) of Kettering, Barbara Jorgensen (Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Outward Bound) of Beavercreek, Heather Martin (The Cover of Life, Belles) and Michael Boyd (Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Paris Letter) of Dayton, and Blake Senseman (Outward Bound, An Act of the Imagination) of Tipp City.

The Hallelujah Girls runs three weekends, Fridays through Sundays, beginning on Friday, November 27th and closing December 13th. Friday performances are at 8:00 p.m., the first Saturday is at 8:00 p.m., with second and third Saturday performances at 5:00 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 3:00 p.m. No one under the age of seven will be admitted. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for students. Reservations can be made via the website at www.daytontheatreguild.org, or by calling the Guild at (937) 278-5993.
