TARZAN Swings Into On Pitch Performing Arts Image

Tarzan comes swinging into Layton with the opening of Disney's Tarzan at On Pitch Performing Arts, Layton's ONLY Live Theatre!

Tarzan tells the story of an infant boy who washes up on the shores of West Africa and is raised by gorillas. Tarzan's life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe's territory and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time.

Tarzan features music by Phil Collins and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang. The stage production is based on Disney's animated film of the same name and Edgar Rice Burroughs' story, "Tarzan of the Apes."

Directed by Brandon Stauffer, with absolutely stunning costumes designed by Amanda Larsen, Tarzan showcases amazing local talent in this HUGE cast. The Cast includes Skyer Smith (Tarzan), Julianna Loveland (Jane), Charlene Adams (Kala), Duane Beesley (Kerchak), Darin Beardall (Porter), Dylan Brinkman (Clayton), and boasts over 30 members in the ensemble.

"This show is more important now than ever. Two worlds, one family - however different we are; we can still come together for the greater good" said Brandon Stauffer "Working with the amazing cast, designers, and crew at OPPA has made this show the perfect rendition."

OPPA! exists to educate, entertain, and inspire children, adults and audiences with theatrical productions that range from musicals, plays, and new works; we train and support the next generation of theatre artists; we provide arts education programs that promote life-long learning; and we celebrate the power of theatre to bring together our community.
