Beavercreek Community Theatre and Edge of the Creek Productions presents THE SUGAR BEAN SISTERS, tonight, October 26 - November 4, 2012, directed by Doug Lloyd.

The Nettle sisters are determined to escape spinsterhood—Willie Mae by going to Salt Lake to find a good Mormon husband and Faye by hopping on a spaceship. Faye and Willie Mae return home to their ramshackle swamp dwelling in Sugar Bean, Florida, after a disastrous daytrip to Disney World, where Willie lost her prized Eva Gabor wig on Space Mountain. Having witnessed the landing of an alien space craft some 25 years ago, Faye prepares for their return. A strange bird-like woman suddenly appears out of the darkness of Buster Swamp, setting in motion a chain of extraordinary events. Lies begin to unravel and the truth is revealed as the Sugar Bean Sisters hatch a diabolical plot to ensure the space people's return.

EDGE OF THE CREEK PRODUCTIONS is an “edgy” branch of BCT created to broaden the scope of our traditional season of family-oriented productions. EOTC will present material a bit more sophisticated than BCT’s typical family fare, designed to appeal to more mature audiences and performers. Dare to walk off the beaten path and come to The Edge!

Please Note: Edge of the Creek Productions contain adult language and content. Parental discretion is advised for patrons and most auditions are open only to actors over the age of 18 unless otherwise noted in the casting call.
