Dayton Playhouse Presents 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Closes 2/13

 The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee coses February 13th. "...Spelling Bee," with Music by William Finn, Book by Rachel Sheinkin won two Tony® Awards and was a long-running hit on Broadway. The story follows six young people in the throes of puberty, (plus volunteer audience members) as they try to spell their way toward first prize and a chance to compete in the finals in Washington D.C. You'll fall in love with these quirky, charming outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time! So get out your dictionaries, and get ready for an evening filled with jubilant music, humor and heart!

Who's Who:
The Dayton production is directed for The Playhouse by Natalie Houliston, with musical and vocal direction from Joe Whatley and Errik Hood, choreography by Erica Hamilton, lights by John Findley, sound by Tony Fende, costumes by Erin Winslow, and stage management by Cami Brewer.

The complete cast of "... Spelling Bee" includes Corinne Derusha, Errik M. Hood, Lindsay Sherman, Charity Farrell, Bobby Mitchum, Matthew Smith, David Thomas, David Stone, and Hannah Berry.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opens Friday, January 28th at 8:00 P.M. and runs weekends through Sunday, February 13th. Showtimes are: Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. Dayton Playhouse is located at 1301 E. Siebenthaler Avenue, Dayton, Ohio.

**WARNING** Parents strongly cautioned: "...Spelling Bee" contains strong language, adult jokes and mature themes. Not recommended for children under 13.
