Dare to Defy to Present SEUSSICAL and SEUSSICAL JR.

Dare to Defy's latest production to be presented at the Victoria Theater will be Seussical: The Musical. This production is being directed by Dare to Defy founder Rebecca Norgaard. The show runsSeptember 7 at 7 PM, and September 8 and Sep 9 at 8 PM. There will be a special showing ofSeussical Jr which has all children under the age of 15! Oh, the people you will see and the things you will do! From the same writing team behind Ragtime, the cherished Dr. Seuss books have been turned into a fantastical and magical musical extravaganza,the story, narrated in part by the whimsical Cat in the Hat, centers around Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with a double challenge. Not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo and all the invisible Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.

Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, his friend Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
