What he doesn't know, is that longtime rival and enemy Rene Belloq (Paul Freeman) is waiting for him with native Hovitos Indians and Nazis to stop him in his tracks. Indy meets up with an old girlfriend, Marion, played by the adventurous Karen Allen, and they head off to Ciaro where the Ark is thought to be resting.
