Victoria Theatre Association and Heidelberg Distributing present one of the most classic and romantic films of all time- Casablanca at the 2010 Michelob Ultra Cool Films Series. Directed by Michael Curtiz, 'Casablanca', shown in 35-mm film, runs August 20-August 22 at the historic Victoria Theatre in downtown Dayton.

Ranked #1 on American Film Institute's (AFI) "Top 100 Greatest Love Stories" list, 'Casablanca' (1942), was also the winner of three Academy Awards®: Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. 'Casablanca' is no stranger to the many lists compiled by the American Film Institute. 'Casablanca' is listed as #2 on "AFI's 100 Greatest Movies" list and has six memorable quotes that appear on "AFI's 100 Greatest Quotes" list attributed to Bogart's character, including "Here's looking at you, kid" and "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine." And of course, Max Steiner's timeless love song, "As Time Goes By," sits in the number two position on AFI's "Greatest Movie Songs of All Time", behind The Wizard of Oz's "Over the Rainbow".

Set during World War II, the story features Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) as a bitter, cynical American expatriate and nightclub owner, living in Casablanca, Africa. Rick's former love, Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman), arrives with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), a fugitive Czech Resistance leader who has escaped from a Nazi concentration camp. Torn between love and virtue, the gallant Rick must choose to be with the woman he loves or help her escape with her husband.
