Victoria Dance Production

Victoria Dance Productions (VDP) is a dance studio in Edina, in the Minneapolis area, that has been teaching for more than 30 years after starting with a single floor and 75 students. Its recreational program runs on a two-year curriculum, placing students by age and skill level, with a teaching assistant in every class to keep the student-to-teacher ratio low; the season runs from September to early June and culminates in an annual recital. Classes begin with Dance With Me for ages 12-30 months alongside a caregiver, then Twinkle Toes creative movement, Pearls tap-and-ballet combination classes, and age-graded Opals, Emeralds, Sapphires, Rubies and Diamonds classes through high school covering ballet, tap and jazz. Also offered are hip hop squads from age 3 upward, musical theatre, modern and lyrical based on Horton and Graham technique, acro for dance from beginner to advanced, adult ballet and adult tap for ages 18+, and high school dance team audition prep. VDP fields competition and performance teams, runs the affiliated Birchwood Ballet Academy, and offers free trial classes, summer classes and birthday parties.
