Vermont Dance Alliance Inc.

Vermont Dance Alliance is a statewide membership and advocacy organization for dance, not a teaching studio. Its alliance brings together dance artists, arts organizations, businesses, institutions and patrons who share an interest in dance's role in Vermont's creative economy, and its stated aim is to help Vermont become a dance destination rather than lose talent to opportunities elsewhere. The Alliance runs an online Dance Artist Directory of dance and technical professionals, an events calendar, a list of partner studios where the public can find classes and performances, and resources on funding, space and production. It offers fiscal sponsorship and the Choreographers Seed micro-grant program with an annual cohort of residents, and produces signature partnership events plus TRACES, a site-specific day of dance performances in Waterfront Park, Burlington. Membership tiers for artists, patrons and partners carry discounts on classes and studio space, networking and event promotion.
