Tolbert-Yilmaz School of Dance

Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance (TYSOD) is at 601 Houze Way, Suite 100, Roswell, Georgia, and is home to Roswell Dance Theatre (RDT), its non-profit resident company. The school takes dancers of all ages, from the youngest in Toddlerdance through to adults, across many styles, and states that its mission for both open-school classes and company programs is high-quality instruction that nurtures creative talent while developing technique. Alongside traditional group classes, dancers can audition for RDT's ballet companies or its Movement Collective. The 2026-27 performance calendar includes Hugs From Young Choreographers in August, The Nutcracker from late November, an RDA/SE showcase, the Movement Collective's Dance Off: Game On, a PrePro company production of Snow White, and year-end recitals in May. Summer offerings have included adult pop-up classes in hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre and aerial silks for all experience levels.
