About this studio
The Fredericksburg Studio of the Arts, established in 2009, teaches dance, music and acting from a facility at 6328 Five Mile Center Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia, just off Route 3 in Spotsylvania. It lists more than ten instructors with a combined 75-plus years of experience, many of whom have performed professionally in dance, music or theatre. The dance curriculum covers ballet, pre-ballet, pointe, creative movement for 3- and 4-year-olds, hip hop (including locking, popping and club styles), jazz, musical theatre, tap and a dedicated technique class for stretching, turns and leaps. Pointe students must be invited by the ballet mistress and provide a doctor's note before going en pointe. The studio also runs the LimeLite Theatre Company, fields a competition team, holds an annual recital with a per-dancer recital fee, and publishes a summer class schedule with classes beginning 1 June.
