About this studio
Christian Youth Theater Fredericksburg is a faith-based performing arts education program serving the Fredericksburg, Virginia area, running classes at River Club Church, Kingdom Baptist Church and Hope Presbyterian Church. It offers three class sessions during the school year, in fall, winter and spring, plus camps in the summer, with subjects spanning drama, voice and choir, dance, comedy and improv, technical theatre and specialty topics. Dance offerings in a typical session include a beginner jazz class for ages 8 to 12 and a mixed-styles Dance Remix class for teens aged 13 to 18. Classes are kept small, most run for a roughly nine-week term on Monday or Tuesday evenings, and each session ends with a free Showcase at which every class presents a short piece of what it has rehearsed. The organization also produces full stage shows and offers tuition assistance.
