Southold Dance Theater Inc

Southold Dance Theater is a not-for-profit performing arts organization in South Bend, Indiana, built around classical ballet training. It trains roughly 200 students a year across a Children's Division (Creative Movement for ages 3-5 and Pre-Ballet for ages 5-7), a Classical Ballet Division with four audition-placed levels, and a Pre-Professional Division running Ballet V-VIII up to Company level. Faculty reference the Vaganova method as a template for instruction, though the school is not Vaganova certified. Guest artists and instructors from national and international companies teach at the Summer and Winter Intensives, and students perform in Winter and Spring productions including The Nutcracker and a Spring Showcase. Open-level adult ballet classes run twice weekly on a drop-in or class-card basis, and partial tuition reduction is available to families demonstrating financial need. Southold also presents concert performances, in-school presentations and community outreach.
