Ballet Arkansas Inc

Ballet Arkansas is the professional ballet company of the state of Arkansas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in its 47th season, based at 520 Main Street in Little Rock and ranked among the largest ballet companies in America by the Dance Data Project. The company performs a repertory of classical and contemporary works by international choreographers and reaches close to 50,000 audience members a year. Its School for Dance is the official training school and is described as the only dance school in Little Rock staffed entirely by current company artists, serving ages 3 through adult from first-time preschoolers to pre-professional and adult students. The curriculum emphasises technique, artistry, creative expression and dancer wellness, with capped class sizes, sliding-scale tuition, discounts and scholarships. Students perform in a spring showcase, community outreach events and alongside company professionals, and a YAGP competition team is available to dedicated dancers. Summer programming includes intensives, junior intensives, boot camps, a pointe and partnering intensive, storytime dance camps and masterclasses. Community outreach covers K-12 classroom programs, student matinees, the L.E.A.P. daycare and preschool program and Dance for All Seasons.
