About this studio
A Time to Dance, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit based in the Henderson and Las Vegas area of Nevada. Its stated vision is to improve the lives and futures of children and the elderly through the joy and discipline of dance, offering underprivileged children and teenagers the chance to take part at no cost, and running dance-based events for older people. It focuses on young people who are homeless, have been abandoned or are in difficult family situations, structuring activities around its dance studio together with teen shelters, foster homes, churches and schools. Children are taught styles described as running from hip hop to ballroom. The program extends beyond steps into social skills and character development, which the organization bases on the Bible.
